PortSwigger, a leading name in the UK web security industry, approached Contact One to modify and upgrade their existing office space. Their key objectives were to enhance acoustic performance in the meeting rooms, optimise the office layout and upgrade the overall aesthetics and functionality of the space.
Working closely with designer Sheila Bird, Contact One took PortSwigger’s initial vision and translated it into practical project plans and schedules. The project involved adapting the existing HVAC system, installing bespoke fabric and illuminated polycarbonate dividing screens, and creating tailored tea points. Special attention was paid to the acoustic requirements, ensuring meeting rooms achieved the desired soundproofing standards.
The refurbishment was structured into two clear phases to reduce disruption. The first floor was completed initially, allowing staff to relocate, before work commenced on the ground floor. Sheila Bird's design intentions were accurately translated into practical construction plans, with Contact One’s team refining specific details for effective on-site execution. Detailed coordination was needed to accommodate intricate acoustic requirements for meeting rooms and the on-site fabrication of custom dividing screens. Our team managed these intricacies consistently, maintaining smooth project progress and achieving high-quality results.
The completed office space aligned perfectly with PortSwigger’s goals, meeting acoustic and practical requirements precisely as outlined in the designs. This successful completion affirmed our capacity to handle detailed, bespoke fit-out projects, resulting in a workspace that significantly enhances PortSwigger’s operational environment.
